He graduated from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, one of the top dental schools in the United States. Dr. Pastel received several awards for outstanding performance in various fields. He is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and the San Francisco Dental Society. Dr. Pastel lives with his family in San Francisco.
